UPDATED

Slade is reportedly looking for a striker and a midfielder to boost his options, but he admitted he might have to play the waiting game to get the right men.

Slade added: "I would like two more players in. I'm confident we can obtain that and optimistic we can get the right ones. I have ideas of positions I need, but things could go to the wire in the end."

Slade currently in talks with one player :ayatollah:

" Russell Slade wants to still sign "

My View

Slade goes in to the last 10 days of the transfer market still trying to sign his final two players that he believes would finally complete his squad for this current season.
With hardly any money available to buy new players, despite the club continually saying that Slade will be fully backed and to be fair to Slade he has not moaned for one second,in fact he has publicly stated he feels this current squad is capable of promotion this season.

But it is believed behind the scenes Skade is getting frustrated as he has missed out on a number of his targets due to lack of money etc.
Slade has known all along he had to sell sell and then would be given money, this so far has not gone to plan.

Slade has not actually bought any new players for the 2015-16 season yet has managed to keep Cardiff undefeated in their first 3 League games, but at the same time he is still to give the City faithful a win this season.

Slade has currently 2 players in mind and is hopeful of signing at least one by the final day of the transfer market on September 1st.
One of Slade's main targets is a midfield player.
During the Summer Slade had two lists he had drawn up and out of that he was able to sign on loan Newcastle's Sammy Ameobi, but failed to bring anymore in including one of his main targets Hulls Stephen Quinn chose Reading instead after meeting up with Slade.

So the next 10 days are going to be very interesting.

Hope it's not this Romanian, Annis. What i'm reading about him doesn't sound good.

Ye he sounds disruptive plus we do not need anymore defenders, yes we are a bit short of cover for a couple of games until manga is back (and Turner) but we need a pacy striker and a midfielder

The reality is we have to be street wise in the transfer market and if that means not signing another £2m+ gamble player like Adam le Fondre then I'm all for that.

As fans we can't moan on one hand about the club is 'wasting' money and then contradict ourselves by moaning about 'no money being available'. The simple fact is 'wasting money' has directly led to 'no money being available' and we have to understand that.

We have wasted so much money over last 5 years, that's why we are in this position. A step backwards to go forwards, Ipswich have had to do it last 5 years, now they are progressing, our supporters need to be patient,.

Good point the Championship is now littered with ex-premiership stalwarts like Middlesbrough, Sheffield Weds, Bolton, Derby, Blackburn and Nottingham Forest.

Middlesbrough, Derby and Ipswich have all taken backward steps but now look like finally making an effort to push on. We have had to do the same and wasting even more money on average rubbish would be disastrous.

Why should the club spend big this season anyway?

It's not as if they are being backed through the turnstiles , which considering the masses who said they would return under the return to blue is quite surprising.

Attendances should'nt be too surprising really. This club has never attracted huge support in the second tier of the league unless it is mounting a serious promotion push. When we are mid to lower table, around 15,000 is par for the course. If we are right up towards the top, between 20 and 25,000 depending on the opposition has been around normal. This has'nt changed much since I started going down in the late 1960's. I think some supporters have only known the good times in recent years, and think we are a bigger club than we actually are. If we were to be relegated (which we won't) we would rarely reach 10,000 in the next division down, and 5,000 used to be a good gate for us in the bottom division.
