Canton 104 / 105 Wolves Game Rally Call!

Hey fellow Bluebirds,

Been reading a few posts regarding chants and match day atmospheres, and how fans don't sing the lyrics to men of harlech etc. For some who sit in the Canton stand, you may be aware, we are trying to get songs going within Canton 104, but the problem we find is, there is not enough of us, or other parts of the stand don't join in.

Last few games of last season, we got a real good party atmosphere going, "right side v the left side". Some people blame the stadium for the lack of match day atmosphere, but for me, this is open to debate. The Wimbledon game showed us, its the fans who can make the difference, this was done in Ninian 116 towards the end of the first half, we raised the atmosphere, got some good songs going, singing the Men of Harlech in full, and the Sloper Road song.

I know some fans might find it cringey and some will enjoy it, all I ask is, please join us towards the back of Canton 104 and 105 for the Wolves game. Lets get some songs going and get behind our team, we have our colours back.

Mate if it doesn't happen I will have to come back to represent the left side again, could hear you against Fulham, keep it going wolves will be good

Without sounding like a prick, why don't you try and sing something original or something already on our songbook? It was quite refreshing when we played Fulham last season and a lot of old school songs were brought back up instead of the same two/three songs we sing over and over. That right side, left side song makes my spine shiver as well as the country road song - leave that to Man Utd.

Your entitled to an opinion and I respect that. But, I do agree with you to some extent, we shouldn't ignore the songs we already have. But we also have lost a lot of old chants / songs recently, especially when they're based on players e.g. super kev song, chris burke chant etc. So a lot of our chants and songs would become repetitive if we don't start new ones, surely wouldn't that be annoying.

I respect what you're trying to do i.e. start and keep an atmosphere going but like I say it would be nice to have some originality. You seem to see Man Utd fans on twitter/facebook every week with a new non generic chant, it would be nice if we could do the same even if it was to just add one or two new songs this season.

P.S. I'm all for a return of the Grange End star!

I'm all for bringing back the atmosphere to the CCS but some of the songs are just copies of other teams and do make me cringe. At Fulham, I heard our fans sing "We hate London, we hate London" (in reference to Arsenal's "We hate Tottenham").

Would love some originality and some of our old songs to get back going! I haven't heard an almighty Spell It Out "C" in a while! Any takers against Wolves?

Most of the songs we sing now are generic and make me cringe, I can't join in with them. Some are so childish and feel like spewing up when I see grown men chanting them. Bring back the hold school songs like many have said and think of some amusing original songs. At the moment the songs we sing are pathetic.

I wouldn't go that far but we do need some new songs, we also need people to join in am afraid the days if a load of different variations in songs has gone. One chant than must die is our own

I'm all for making atmosphere but some of the songs that are coming out of that section do make me cringe, the "we're the right side" is something a club like Reading or Fulham would sing, basically a wet fart fanbase. Also please please drop the "You got no fans, do you want some" chant, I couldn't believe me ears when I heard that ! Sloper Rd, Men of Harlech, Yma O Hyd I'm all for because its representing us, the other songs make me want to crawl up into a ball, cringeworthy as f**k.
