Observation from our games

Why do we seem to play really positive and be the better team in the opening 25 mins (on average) and make it look like we are going to walk that particular match but then not many goals come from chances and at that point you feel your best strikers should be on the pitch to capitalise. Then after that we start to struggle and the opposition starts to grow into the game and they then become the better team. Yes I know we have scored a couple of goals late on in the game but in general the games that I've seen this pattern occurs! We need Kenwyne on from the start! No offence to Revell but he should not be in the line up every week! I agree that his work rate is incredible but this isn't all about work rate, if I played for city I would give 110% to the game but if u haven't got the quality, it's abit futile! - after all this is a results business. Some players have now been given their chance in the opening 3 games and we have players coming back from injury and on the bench - time to make some chances? What does everyone think?

I actually agree with you, when we go 1-0 up we never try to get the killer goal, we tend to sit on a 1 goal lead and that's when things go wrong. I don't think Revell should be anywhere near the starting team but he's ok to have in the squad. I would actually have a minimum of any 3 of our strikers in ahead of Revell so that just about says it all about him. I'm hoping that when our squad is fully fit, Slade will ring the changes, if he has the bottle but I very much doubt it

I agree, I think I would also list 3 players ahead of Revell and I know it seems harsh on the lad but we need to start winning games! I'm not expecting automatic promotion this season or anything big but at least give ourselves the best chance to do well. Surely Slade wants to win games too. No pressure but a win against Wolves Saturday is a must and anything else will already start to feel that this season is abit like last! We must improve on our finishing place from last season and by that I don't mean 1 place up the table! 8th and above would be a reasonable request considering th squad that e have. I feel that we have been very unlucky not to get a win so far (perhaps abit bias I know) but the fact is that we need to aim to score more when we have it all going our way. Please start Jones on Saturday!

Slade's team talk at half time might have something to do with it
