Revell or Macheda?

Tue Aug 18, 2015 11:54 am

It seems like me and many other City fans are losing patience with Alex Revell, who for all his running and work rate, can't hit a barn door with a beach ball. He has never once in his time at City got me think "you're gonna score here".

But the other option is Macheda, who ironically, people say is far too lazy! I agree, it's infuriating to see a player bot trying, bit the quality is definitely there with Macheda. He showed glimpses last season of a classy player who could score goals.

So my question is, would you rather have Revell or Madheda in the City team? Personally it would have to be Macheda. Jones, Mason and Macheda can all score goals at this level and we can either interchange the three strikers n or out if the first team lineup or change the formation to 3 strikers.

We also still have Eoin Doyle, who everyone seems to have forgotten about. He could still be an option. I believe we need to spend 2 or 3 million on a fantastic striker, Campbell for me.

Who would you play? :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird: :sladein:

Of the strikers we have Revell would be the last on my list. League 2 standard.

i could forgive Revells lack of bite in front of goal a lot more if it looked like Mason was more threatening because of him.

so in that sense he brings little to the side when we have the ball, but a lot more to the side when we dont.

So wouldnt be at all surprised to see him stay there tonight, though i think Jones should start.

As for Macheda, i guess its too much to ask for a team player who gives 100% and is a good footballer! Fabio fits this bill perfectly, but unfortunately he cant defend.
