Tan - let's be fair!

Mon Aug 17, 2015 10:41 pm

Last year and the year before, Tan was criticised for constantly interfering and nearly everyone on this forum said he should keep out of things, keep his head down and allow Dalmain and the rest to get on with running the club. Recently, Tan has been criticised for not turning up and/or gone quiet. But to be fair, whatever he dies now he cannot win. Regarding our Chairman, he is supposedly a ' yes ' man. But again he is getting on with his job as best as possible. Result - a hard working team, making progress, a real togetherness about them hence 2 late equalisers despite we have been the best team in both games. In addition, the team are playing much better and are enjoyable to watch - a real criticism of last year. Now the cry is for Jones, Ameobi and Noone to start. Great - this is a real positive. However, the midfield is doing well and are competitive at present. Come on everyone - look at the positives and not the constant negatives. At least we are now moving in the right direction. I hope we do not lose tomorrow to a tough uncompromising and physical Blackburn side who are desperate for points. After all for the last 2 occasions we have played them - including our promotion season - we never beat them at their place. So Keats be fair, let's ALL pull in the same direction. Lay off Tan, Slade and support the boys as we are in a much better place than last year. And Manga and Turner to return. Just a striker would be helpful. Bloooooooobirds :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

I have no problem with criticism which is fair such as complaining about interfering with team selection or buying players on a whim because of a recommendation by high profile manager. The rebrand was also a poor idea and again it seems VT listened to the wrong people.

However, anyone who admits their mistakes and puts those wrongs right, is a dam fine individual and someone who is much better than those who pursue a vendetta against him.

I'm truly aghast at anyone who would see our club suffer just so they can point the finger at Tan. Yes he f**ked up and has a £150m hole in his pocket to prove it but he is the only Chairman to deliver top flight football in the past 50 years and he does deserve better respect than he currently gets.

to me, the cut backs havent gone deep enough. But i suppose there isnt too much we can do about that if others arent willing to take on the high wages we are paying.
