' WILL OUR FANS BE PATIENT? '

Sun Aug 16, 2015 6:43 pm

Cardiff City fans :ayatollah:

Will our fans be patient if we failed to beat Blackburn on Tuesday night - 2 or 3 points from a possible 9? :ayatollah:

Opinions? :ayatollah:

Re: ' WILL OUR FANS BE PATIENT? '

We have to be patient Slade is trying to build something we are playing good football and I can see nothing but a win on Tuesday Blackburn will be toothless up front without Rhodes who has injured himself yesterday and of course Gestede and they wont cause us much problems. :thumbright: :sladein: :ayatollah:

Mason, theyve got to be,but when we were losing at QPR some fans did start singing Slade sort them out.

I said I would judge Slade on the first 10 games this season as he says hes happy with his squad, been backed by Tan and expects top 6. Tan says hes happy with Slade.

I personally am not,but I will give him a chance.

We did improve by the end of last season,so No excuses this season :ayatollah:

From what I'm hearing, even though its only been 2 games, a lot of fans are already feeling a bit better than before pre season. We have still got a long way to go, but I think fans feel the team is trying a bit more now which will help massively

Good to see you yesterday as brief as it was  sometimes performances are more important than points, on a constant basis ? No, but the football has been a lot more enjoyable and some never say die attitude which we love! I don't think we're far away and will only improve and a win at Rovers would be the perfect chance :bluescarf:

Personally I think we will do well if we take more than one point from our next two games. Early days yet, and as long as we are around mid table after 10 games or so we should be ok. Scoring goals will be our problem, we can't rely on 20 yard screamers every game.

I'll comment in October

I don't think so for the Blackburn game. Under Slade we don't really have any high expectations, but I think some fans will start to lose patients come the wolves game if we don't get a good result at home.

Early days but it's been a big improvement on last season, the players look like a team and look like they care, we were winning the ball back much quicker yesterday. The defence was a bit dodgy though, fingers crossed Manga is back soon :ayatollah:

Don't forget that we are toothless up front as well! Slade persists with ignoring the best 2 strikers at the club (Jones & Doyle) and I don't know how on earth he picked Ravell again against QPR. It's like playing with 10 players. I don't suppose our top scorer ( Noone) will get a start either! Bizarre.

I think Noone may start Digkachoi must be due a rest, he hasn't played many games over the last year, he can't play every game surely ??!

I accept that but the other obvious choice is Doyle who is a goal scorer. Macheda & Ravell are diabolical and should not be playing at this level. Why not start with Jones and Doyle and take Jones off after 60? Blackburn have gone backwards this season but would not be surprised with a 2-0 Blackburn win. How on earth can Slade pick Ravell after his pathetic showings so far? Unbelievable how he was picked for QPR and Noone who is on fire is left on the bench. Just shows how much Slade is out of touch with reality.

Macheda was scoring goals until he got suspended then injured I agree Revell is not a goal scorer but he does win headers and Doyle will get his chance its still very early into the season. :thumbright: :sladein: :ayatollah:

The best striker we have is Javi Guerra by a country mile

Re: ' WILL OUR FANS BE PATIENT? '

Sun Aug 16, 2015 8:50 pm

To be honest I think we've had a hard start, Fulham home into QPR and Blackburn away is not the easiest first 3 games. I'm very happy with some of the spirit and play the team has shown, I hope we can keep it going.

The last thing we need is a new manager right now with us already on our 4th team in 3 seasons. Sustainability and consistency is key.

I just don't get it , he looks so good to me what little I have seen. Surely it makes more sense to keep Marshall and give Guerra a go than sell Marshall and gamble the money on another striker

We have to back the manager, how many late goals did we score last season? Not many that's for sure our players were always blowing out their ass after a hr slade has us fit and playing good possession football with chances being created just not gobbled up yet that's our problem at the min need a goal scorer

If their not then the mentality is the same from some of our fanbase, too greedy and narrow minded to understand the real things of what's happening with this club.

VT has pumped way too much money into this club to find himself back to where we started when we took over, chasing Premier League football.

I think with everything that's gone with MM to Ole to Slade then the supporters need to realise we have not only pumped a lot of money into the team but also management and now VT has finally seen sense and realised that he needs to cost cut and try and reduce the debt and balance sheets with wages and how we do transfers.

We are in a transitional period and supporters have to be patient.. we have managed to trim down the squad and I think people forget Slade took over halfway into the season inheriting a squad which wasn't his, regardless of this that he picked up a big squad with quality it isn't his squad and he wants the right players in a sizeable group that share the ETHOS and style he wants.

I think going back to blue and the kit we now have along with how small things such as the programmes and the layout of the tickets it is positive things at the club.. we not only gone back to blue but got some tradition stored with small things such as the music before the game, like I said the tickets and programmes then the positive vibes amongst the club off the field can only push us on to get behind the team.

I have only been to Wimbledon home but we have improved since Slade has come in and we are looking better, organised, better with the ball and the spirit on the pitch is there for show for me.

We got to remember we have been excellent in the 2 league games by what I have seen from stats, reports and people I have spoke to. I think the supporters have got the attitude back now we are fully restored to get behind the team until the end which showed in the late goals we scored.. I couldn't imagine what the players thought when we was 3-0 down v Brentford at home for example last season just playing in a subdue atmosphere but now we can get behind the team and believe we can get as less as a point from a game now from losing positions.
