15000 doesn't seem a bad number when you think Burnley had 12000 and QPR only 14000 today's. And they have just come down.

Crowds are slowly dropping all around the country in the championship
15k+ is a strong following in the championship
Let's hope we can start
Hitting the 18k mark in games to come

QPR's stadium is relatively small though.

There was room for 5000 more in their stadium.
Small ground was no excuse yesterday.

To be fair, Burnley and QPR have never been known for their large attendances, they are both competing with bigger clubs within their area, where we only really have Swansea and Newport to compete with.

You cannot compare us with either of the teams you picked. They only had a few thousand more in the Premiership. We were getting around 27K per game, then 20/21K last season and now it's 15,000.
I cannot see the crowds getting bigger unless we shock everyone (except a few) and pop up near the top of the table. Would guess that crowds will decrease further. The club could have prevented the decline by bringing in 1 or 2 quality signings but to date have decided not to invest a penny into the transfer fund.

They don't play in large stadiums like ours. The expansion gets more and more ridiculous as the games go by.

The expansion was undertaken based on three factors:-
It was decided to go ahead with the expansion due to low interest rates, and very low build costs due to the recession.
We were in the Premiership at the time and were averaging 27,400 odd.
We received funding for hosting the UEFA Super Cup.

Anyone with a braincell could have told you the stadium was full of plastics and would be gone if we went down. All those that "couldn't get a ticket" when we were in the premiership have fucked off.
And I can tell you now, we won't be back in that league for at least another 10 years.
