BAGGIES TO ANNOUNCE ANOTHER SIGNING EARLY NEXT WEEK
By Ste Hoare
Sunday 16th August 2015
Former Celtic & Norwich City goalkeeper David Marshall, who is now at Cardiff City, will complete a switch to West Brom next week, according to John Percy of The Telegraph.
Percy reports that West Brom will pay £5million to acquire the Scotland international, who is being brought in as competition for Boaz Myhill, with England keeper Ben Foster sidelined until October with a knee injury.
Marshall is currently serving a three-game ban, but that ends this weekend, and that is why Albion are set yo finally set up their efforts to sign him.
Marshall started his career in his native Scotland with Celtic, where he was predominantly a backup. He was later loaned to Norwich, and eventually ended up making the move to Carrow Road permanent.
in 2005, Cardiff City paid £500,000 to sign him from Norwich, and he’s enjoyed a successful spell with the Welsh club. He was part of the side that gained promotion to the Premier League in 2012/13, and he was named in the Sky Sports’ 2014 Premier League ‘Team of the season’.

I'd like to keep him, but if not let's have the money soon as that will give Slade time to get in a replacement and hopefully the striker we need

Great that the club are holding out. He's worth every penny in my opinion. They are getting Scotland's number 1 and by today's prices £5m is a good deal.
