It may seem early in the season, but let's not look back at the end of it and say that we we ultimately failed because we never got ourselves a striker that could stick 20-25 goals in the back of the net.

This is a concern, along with the basic defensive errors. These are the 2 things that could stop us challenging this season. The return of Manga and a top striker would be great for us.

Neither Mason nor Revell will get double figures. Doyle not used again and Kenwynne only on when we are 2-0 down - we desperately need an out and out goal scorer but I don't think Slade sees it as a problem

Take look at goal scorers for city thread! Under malky got promotion and most goals from midfield ? Its goals that count regardless where they come from?

I agree about revel . I have faith in mason that he can get a decent return , but I think jones and doyle are better then both and they were both on the bench again .

I said before the season started and will stick with it, I cannot see Ravell, Mason, Doyle and Macheda getting 30-35 goals between them. Ravell & Macheda should not even get a game. Jones and then Doyle are the best strikers that we have.

We are working with a midfield that needs a tweak and a defence that needs Manga.

Get Manga back and we will still need to strengthen in midfield or upfront. Both would be nice.

no hope not, but its a long way until then so never know some one may get the goals
