Moore, 6. Much more confidence in him after the mistake at Fulham, 1 great reaction save from a deflected shot, perhaps needs to command at corners more?

Peltier, 6. Decent game would have been a 7 but the silly error to give away the corner for their first goal

Connoly, 7. Deserves more chances IMO. Intelligent player, not the biggest but neat and tidy performance

Morrison, 5. Would have been a 4 if not for his goal. Good in the air in attack but not at defending. needs to stay with his man and is error prone. Why is he captain, he's not even that experienced?

Malone, 8 motm. Great goal, great going forward. Decent defence but caught out a few times but worth it for his forward thinking.

Ralls, 6. Decent game, definitely developing into a fine player.

Whittingham, 5. Harsh here because he did OK but as a set piece specialist disappointed.

Dikacoi, 6. Decent player, looks strong going forward and defensively however failed to influence the game

Pilkington, 7. Looks dangerous, nothing came off today but in another day could have produced something special

Revell, 5. Good in the air, tries hard decent touches but not quite good enough for a top 6 team

Mason, 6. Like Pilkington looked dangerous but things just didn't come off today. Another day could have got a goal.

Subs.. Noone, 5 hardly in the game. Ameobi, 5 same as noone. Jones, 7 surely first choice when fit? Better than revell in attack, better than Morrison in defence at least at marking and heading!

Slade, 7. Good game from Slade, held possession, showed up Ramsey for the way he set the team out they always had a game plan, such a difference from last season, would have been an 8 however has to take some blame for the mess at corners.

Agree Connoly gave the ball away from the back multiple times as soon as Manga is back the better his injury is proving costly.

Connolly -2 A shocking performance giving away an unnecessary corner and then giving the ball away the majority of the time, kept on apologising to his team mates but not good enough.

Previously our midfield has been a cause for concern , Dickajoi and Pilkinton are making a difference to our midfield and is a work in progress for me ,
Today's game we had 62% possession and looked the better side today despite the mistakes
If we can get a cutting edge to our attack we can do well this season
Results are always a bit iffy at this stage of the season concerning clubs that have new players bedding in , so I do expect some surprise results
But we do look a better side than last season considering we have'nt spent a penny on new players ...... so some credit to the manager and his coaching staff

Overall team performance-7. I thought we played well today, you can definitely see progress being made. The way we set up has a nice shape and balance to it, the players know their roles well and it makes us alot more fluid and it allows us to get our ball players on the ball in the right areas. My only worry is that some of our defending lets us down big time, all 3 goals we have conceded so far this season could've all been prevented and are all from our own mistakes. The Fulham goal was a Moore clanger, 1st goal today silly mistake from Peltier then poor defending from Morrison and then the 3rd goal was poor defending from Morrison again. If we cuts out those mistakes we win both of those games. All in all I'm happy though, it's nice to see that we're building something, good work Russell.

Morrison and Connolly were both rubbish today, it looked like schoolboy stuff, they can't defend, hurry back Manga ffs, I have given them both 4 only because Morrison scored and Connolly saved one off the line otherwise they would have both had a 3 at best. Peltier was not too bad apart from that corner he gave away, wtf was he thinking?
Our midfield was good and the only change I would make would be to bring Noone in and play one up front. I believe that it's our attack and defence that needs urgent attention. Mason was quieter than normal and Revell, well say no more, league one player at best that blames everyone else for his lack of ability.
In defence I would bring in Fabio for Peltier, Manga when fit for Connolly and put Peltier in at center back for Morrison. Leave Malone where he is.
