Cardiff City's David Marshall praised as West Brom move stalls
WBA for now, will not pay the £5million Cardiff City are asking.

David Marshall's attitude has been praised by Cardiff City manager Russell Slade while speculation continues over the goalkeeper's future.
West Brom have made a bid for Scotland international Marshall but have not met Cardiff's valuation of about £5m.
Marshall's three-match ban ends after Saturday's visit to QPR and Slade says he would have no issue in selecting him to face Blackburn on Tuesday.
"He's very professional. He's training really well at the minute," he said.
Slade added that West Brom's interest in Marshall has "gone very quiet" and hopes the 30-year-old will ultimately stay at the club.
Simon Moore deputised for Marshall in Cardiff's opening Championship game of the season at home to Fulham, but he gifted the visitors the opening goal in the 1-1 draw by fumbling a cross.
Ben Wilson, 23, started in goal in a much-changed Cardiff side in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Wimbledon in the Capital One Cup.
Moore is expected to reclaim his place to face QPR on Saturday, but Slade will have a decision to make on Tuesday when Marshall becomes available to play for the first time this season.

Tony Pulis is set to sign Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall next week in a £5 million deal.
West Bromwich Albion are closing in on the Scotland international and are hopeful of agreeing a fee with the Championship club in the next few days.
Pulis wants Marshall to provide competition for Boaz Myhill, with Ben Foster likely to be sidelined until October with a knee injury.
Marshall, 30, will serve the final game of a three-match ban this weekend and Albion are then expected to step up their bid to bring him to the Hawthorns.
Albion have made five signings this summer, including £12 million record signing Salomon Rondon, but Pulis ideally wants another three before the window closes.
He said: "We know what we need. The chairman has been very good. We are after quite a few targets and there will be players that leave the football club as well.
"We have to make sure we do our business without anyone else knowing and get it done. Hopefully we will get it done.”

This is the hold up.
Probably be based on staying in prem etc.
If Tan wants to exit he,ll want cash now not next year.
Interesting one.
We need a sell on or buy back clause too

When does the loan window shut?
Is there a deal to be done where we sell Marshall and take him back on loan when Foster is fit again?

Sadly, I can see this transfer happening, simply because we are unable to move on Kenwyn Jones, Javi Guerra, & Macheda,,,not to mention Velikonja & LE Fondra, even though they are out on loan, that still equates to a hell of a lot on wages.
let us not forget that this time last season, our club was paying out almost two times its annual turnover in players wages alone!
