Any news on David Marshall?
"It's the same situation. It’s gone very quiet.
"He's our number one but we will see how Simon (Moore) goes. Competition is healthy.
"We will pick team to win a match. If no deal done he will be happy to stay, he is training really well."
Team news for QPR
"I was looking for players to push for a place and there were a couple of good performances.
"It creates a problem, but they are nice problems. Craig Noone is one, he has done great and responded well after not starting against Fulham.
"I am giving nothing away, but it was a terrific response.
"He has scored two goals in two games and has made his mark.
"Simon Moore will be on the team sheet tomorrow at QPR
"We have no major injuries, Manga making progress, Macheda doing well, Turner on more of a long term programme. He's 7-8 weeks away."
Slade on Kenwyne Jones...
"Kenwyne Jones played 25 minutes against Wimbledon and that was great.
"He had a calf strain, but is okay now and it's great to have him back in the group. We know how strong he is in both boxes. He's phenomenally strong.
"There are few better than KJ in the Championship in the opposing box. Kenwyne is closer to full fitness."
What about QPR?
"They have an incredible squad, 16 of them were in the Premier League last season.
"Chris is looking for the best strategy and shape and is getting there.
"Charlie Austin has done well, he was excellent last season and is progressing. He has scored goals at every level he has played at.
"Our fans will play a big part. It's a big game, a big atmosphere. They are always loud and passionate away and we want them behind us. They can help.
"We go to QPR to win the match."
Slade on transfers
"I want to add to what we have. That doesn’t necessarily means others must go, but any monies coming in would help.
"I would prefer the transfer window to stop when the season starts - you could lose players at end of August and be left trying to bring others in."
Verdict on Sammy Ameobi...
"He's always in my thoughts.
"By his own admission he is getting stronger but still knows he has to be stronger.
"The great thing is he wants to do well and is working hard to ensure he is in good nick."
Peltier: We're ready for QPR
"We are all ready for the full season.
"Hopefully we can continue our form from pre-season.
"QPR will be tough like any game in the Championship. They've still kept a lot of their players and have a lot of quality.
"Our aim is to take three points.
"Charlie Austin will be a threat, but we’ll be ready. We’ve played against him over the years and he is dangerous in the box, a quality striker. We will play our usual game.
"The team spirit in our camp is excellent, we#re orking on different things and that work is starting to pay off. All of the lads are getting on well."
Peltier has his say on the in form Craig Noone...
"He is part of what we are doing, the gaffer can only pick 11 and players who come on must give him something to think about.
"He's done that and now that’s up to the gaffer.
"He's a good player and will be massive for us this season."
Peltier on Kenwyne
"When he is firing he is the best striker in this league . He is a handful. He’s back, he’s happy and hopefully he will get a chance soon.
"He is quite a laid back person, I have played against him and he’s a handful.
"He's a nightmare to play against."
Backing Simon Moore after Fulham error
"Everybody makes mistakes - all the lads support him.
"He's a great lad and Simon will work hard.
"He's one of the best professionals I have come across in my career.
"I’ve made mistakes and every player will make mistakes.
"He will be fine. He’s a great keeper."
One of the best in the division...
"The back five is competitive and strong.
"Eveybody in the back five has great experience in the Championship and knows what this league is about.
"It's a good base for the team to carry on what we have been doing.
"The squad at Cardiff is known as one of the best in the division.
"To lose Ben Turner and Bruno Manga and have the likes of Matt Connolly come in when two other defenders are out is great.
"Matt has had a great career. He's had four promotions and been at Arsenal. For somebody like that to come in is unbelievable."
