Why does everyone think that Joe Mason is the answer to our striker problem? He's not really done anything for me yet, don't get me wrong I think he's a very talented player but he is too lightweight, not got lightning pace and doesn't really offer enough for me at the moment. He didn't really do anything wonderful for Bolton when he went up there either. I know he's still young but I don't think he's the solution to our problems.

The answer to our striker problem was Rudy Gestede and the fans callously hounded him out and the club got rid of him.

Yup. I've actually been voicing for fan ownership but I'm not so sure anymore!

I am a big Mason fan, he is intelligent positionally, a great finisher and can link the midfield to the attack. Mason gives us the flexibility to have an extra midfielder if we need it (as he can drop back) and have an extra striker on the pitch.
I believe, given a full season, that he will hit 15-20 goals at Championship level.

I remember one poster, who I won't name and shame, saying Gestede wasn't good enough for the Blue Square leagues.

Fans who think Mason and Noon are the pathfinders to promotion this season are in for a huge disappointment, likened to sticking a plaster over a wound that needs major surgery
