They've got no chance

Tue Aug 11, 2015 10:55 pm

Still got too many players. First round of the cup and there's a large amount of 'first team players' starting, giving the likes of Harris, Kennedy and youth prospects no chance to progress and grow. Ok we won but these so called first team players are serving up drivel, surely a bit of youth and pace I.e Harris and Kennedy would add a bit of sting to our play. Thoughts?

Agree there is still a bit to many players on the books its easier said than done to get rid and and I think over the season or by next season there will be a couple of youngsters coming through I hope and Slade is addressing the issue but its a bit to early in this moment in time. :thumbright: :sladein: :ayatollah:

Couldn't agree more. Some of these academy players need to be thrown in and given a chance. No point in having a youth academy otherwise. Time to start seeing if any of them are made of the right stuff. Also will put a bit of pressure on a few first team players to up their game. A game like tonight is ideal for trying a few prospects out

Exactly players are rotting when they step up or if we sign any youngsters, ralls aside

Totally agree but how many would be on here moaning if we sent a youth team out and went out last night

would have preferred a few youth team players in there to be honest.

I dont really care if we went out or not - it was very boring to watch though

Not me personally that's what I see the cup for, perfect chance to give the youngsters a go

But you don't send a youth team out do you?
You introduce one or two players at a time.
Tuesday would have been perfect for that.

Yes definitely. Obviously not going to risk any in league at moment but 1 or 2 in cup wouldn't be bad
