Revell.

Not the most gifted but he works extremely hard and played well in the second half linking well with others. He certainly holds the ball up better than Jones. He is odds on to play in an unchanged side against QPR. But how I would wish for Frazier Campbell - he would make such a difference to the team dynamic and strangely he fits into Slades ethic of hard work.

You've got to be joking surely? This guy offers us absolutely nothing upfront, he's a league one player at the very most. What I will say is though his work rate is second to none which is why he'll never be on the end of bad stick, in comparison to someone like Macheda who is much more technically gifted but looks like he can't be bothered at times.

We need an in form bothroyd and Chopra that partnership was lethal.

I sometimes wonder, do some people on here watch the same game as me,and it also could be the case that some people see what they want to see

I think there is a bit of both. I am not convinced Cardiff fans understand certain types of player, particularly target men strikers and ball winning midfielders. I remember the likes of Kavanagh, Boland, Olofinjana getting stick as well as Leo, Lee, Thompson, Gestede also.

I can work hard and run all day
he is up front to score goals and he cannot do that simply he's a bench warmer at best some one to bring on and work hard to defend a lead at the death of the game
if he starts most games the goalscoring will need to come from midfield to help Mason which means we are in trouble

He's not good enough at this level. He doesn't offer enough.. He's never going to get in behind the defenders, He likes to close down the defenders but that's it.

Did anyone really watch Tuesday's game? He was heads above anyone else on the pitch and def MOM. It's the 2nd game of the season and much too early to slate players. They all deserve a chance to prove. its about the all round play and assists. It's a team game. Having non team players gave us relegation and some are still at the club thinking they are still premiership players, but they're not.

In my opinion, on Tuesday both Revell and Doyle offered very little individually or as a partnership in terms of goal threat. They both work hard but that's not enough at this level. Again, few real chances created through lack of decent ball in the final third is a factor but neither look like players who will score more than 6 - 8 goals per season in this side and at this level.

I appreciate that we're no longer in the market for players like Dwight Gayle but surely we can do better than this pair even on a limited budget?

Said when we signed Doyle that I did'nt think he would be a prolific scorer at this level. Personally, I don't think either of these players are going to cause many championship defenders much in the way of sleepless nights.

In fairness to Doyle he hasn't been given that many changes.

We have a lot of average strikers, none have pace.

but
Offers absolutely nothing? You're having a laugh. You realise he won the second most headers in the league last season, behind Rudy. Surely that's something, he's quality in the air, no argument about that.
