They have a market we can only dream of. If they do it right, they could far exceed the premier league.
Anyone else think the more they improve it could maybe be detrimental to us?. Who knows, in 50 years time all the ronaldos etc could be in the US.

Been saying it for years. Going back to Miami in December and I hear Beckhams team has finally had the go ahead for a new stadium there. The Latino population is constantly growing and with that comes the interest in football

The Red Bulls (formerly MetroStars) have always been my favorite MLS team. This incident is being blown a bit out of proportion by the media. The Red Bull supporters in this video are members of the Garden State Ultras, a group that I believe has its roots with british and Irish ex-pats (hence the accents you were hearing). Although I am sure there were a few Americans just trying to sound British too. We don't have bubble matches in the states, we sometimes have police escorts for bigger rivalry matches though. The police presence was lacking for this match.
What this really comes down to is that the Red Bulls (MetroStars) supporters have been around for 20 years now and their little cousins from across the river (who were always too stuck up to support MLS in the past) are trying to prove themselves by being idiots. What they forgot was that the bar they were looking to start trouble in has two floors...both which were filled with Red Bull supporters. Any way you look at this, it was a complete and abject failure on all levels.
Can't even fight properly.

I'll put my hands up and can honesty say that the only furniture I've broke is a chair when the leg gave way when I sat on it at an away game and I got banned for destruction.
