The win yesterday over Fulham.
I took my seat in the Ninian Stand for the first time in three seasons and I have to days the first thing that took me is how many blue shirts were being worn by our fans, it was good to see.
City started well against a Fulham team who will be no pushovers this season. They have recruited sensibly and whilst they have sold their startled Patrick Roberts still have a team which has expensive additions. Talking to a Fulham fan before and after the game yesterday and they certainly want a top six finish that's for sure.
City , in my opinion controlled the first half and were unlucky not to be leading when the interval came following decent efforts from Mason. Fulham looked as if they came for a point from the outset and I didn't recall a worthy effort of note despite their tidy approach play.
The second half was much of the same with city controlling until Fulham scored against the run of play. Whilst it was an error by Moore, I thought he had a decent game overall.
After the goal, City kept going and I actually thought the goal wasn't going to come until Noones intervention. What a strike it was too.
The last few minutes were end to end and hats off to Fulham for going for it and they will feel they should ha e nicked it at ten end.
The atmosphere was ok, but 12 o'clock kick off times always seems to dampened the supporters enthusiasm.
The attendance of 15,429 with an impressive 800 odd from Fulham was down considerably on last season, but at least those there wanted to be there.
I am optimistic this season and would be disappointed if we didn't reach the top six.
Oh one more thing, Richard Sheppard did a ok job standing in as the P.A but can't they get a younger more enthusiastic man or woman in?

I to thought we were the better team overall.
More shots, a pass success rate of 83% were overshadowed by the GK mistake.
Whitts needs to be dropped though, did not offer a great deal and is too slow
