Fair play Leeds today

Leeds home crowd today 27,673 v Burnley, not a big club

We had 15,500 we should be getting 20,000 plus

Re: Fair play Leeds today

Local derby virtually. :D

Re: Fair play Leeds today

Leeds are a big club, we are not a big club. We are small to medium, hence our average will be about 12k this year, and Leeds will probably average about 23k :bluebird:

Annis I will give you this, you have said for a long time crowds dwindling! I could see it but not to the magnitude witnessed today. It is what it is but your right, we should be hitting 20k but let's see where we are at ten games in cos our lot have never bed any different and you know that. :bluescarf:

Totally embarrassed today. Been watching Cardiff for 22 years. Worse atmosphere I've witnessed. Sat in 116. No one sang. Not even Anis. Absolute joke. I was actually Embarrassed by it. Fair play canton tried to sing. Off back over there. Joke!

A lot of fans on this forum have only followed the club during the relatively good times we've had in recent years. We attracted thousands of new fans during our play off and promotion years, and during our Premier league season. A lot of those fans have now disappeared as it has become obvious that the good times are behind us. Anyone who has supported the club for a few decades will know that today's crowd is par for the course for this club playing at this level, but not likely to be challenging at the top. In this league, 11,000 to 15,000 has always been normal, with an extra 4 to 5,000 turning up if we suddenly look like we are serious promotion contenders. Can't compare Leeds to us, they are a massive club in comparison, and many of our fans had accurately forecast todays gate.

Steve I agree but still a reality check seeing such low numbers today! All clubs have these fans but we have a massive amount of in between fans! Who cares, bring on qpr

When you have a history of success it's easy to have a sustained large fanbase, it's all they sing about after all.

We have no history, therefore have lower crowds.

You have more history than us and are bigger than us. We was at Gillingham for 2 season with gates of 2,000 while you was at Ninian Park, we then was at Withdean for 10 years (7,000 gates) while you was at Ninian Park then your new ground before we moved to the Amex. Why are we getting bigger crowds now?

Probably because our club has been broken for the past 3 years, the club is on the road to fixing itself but we're now a lot shitter than we were before the rebrand so there's that

Correct answer. From an outside perspective looking at how your club has been run over the years then only one person is to blame for your dwindling home support and that is the slit eye c*unt. The prick doesn't care about Cradiff but his wallet. I'm off as slit eye winds me up.

I'm amazed that a club like cardiff could not do a Swansea?you had the opportunity the funds the manager malky seemed man enough for the job WHERE DID IT GO WRONG FOR YOU LADS!

Losing to Blackpool in the play off final and then a year later some of the players going on the piss the night before a vital game with Middlesbrough (3-0 down in 20 mins) to screw up our promotion chances were the key moments.

The last 3 infamous years (despite promotion) I like to call the Vincent Tan era wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for our massive f**k ups under Dave Jones.

I am surprised you take so much interest in us. Bu you sound like an unpleasant individual and maybe spend your friendless time scouring other Club's message boards.

People on this site are kidding themselves. City fans have always been a fickle bunch, and when things start going wrong they disappear in their thousands.
We are not a big club, we are a small club with less than 10,000 real fans.

We had the 3rd lowest home crowd in the Championship on Saturday, only teams like little Rotherham were worse than us.

I think I hate the glory hunters as much as Tan.

Understand Burnley didn't take many due to Leeds taking the piss with ticket prices. no shocks on that one then.

Yes I got to agree fantastic support. There support is massive not like ours who only came for the success. Our true fan base is embarrassingly small.

When I was up at Elland Rd leeds v wolves sitting around us were 2 lads from Dundee 3 lads from Kent and a coach load from Iceland scattered about the place plus 2 from s.wales of course fan base is huge but it was the fans who saved leeds in our minus 15 points yr in our lowest place ever I'm sure if it was not for the 25 thou plus that turned out every home game which paid the players wages we would have struggled to continue don't 4 get from the team that played and lost to you at Ninians fa cup tie only gary Kelly was left when we started our minus 15 point campaign.1 fecking player but that yr we lost in the play off final at the millennium a very dark day in my life.my point is this all clubs need their fans stick together we have to.
