NO PACE

I thought Pilkington had a good game but we were desperately lacking pace on the left and it was crying out for Craig Noone. I could not work out why Slade left it until the 77/78th minute for him to be brought on.
Joe Ralls have done well in pre season but he has not got the pace to attack and get past defenders. Ralls and Whitts play at the same pace and it was left to Pilkington as the only creative player. It would have been nice to given Ameobi a bit more time and Doyle a run out late on.
As soon as No one had a chance he cut in past two defenders and buried one in the top corner. Cannot beat pace and players who can beat defenders.

I would agree as the biggest issue today was getting the ball from the midfield to the forwards quickly.
In fairness to the defence and Malone in particular they moved the ball out quickly only for the midfield to slow is down and allow Fulham to get behind the ball.
Over all draw was a fair result and I took away a lot of positives today, Malone and Pilkington in particular.

We should swap either Ameobi or Doyle for Revell and then we should go out and bring in a commanding central midfielder to replace Whittingham. You are right about Ralls and Whittingham they are to similar and very one paced. Although, Joe Ralls is too good not to be in the team every week. He brings so much more to the team than Whittingham.

I wouldn't mind us signing Nathan Byrne from Swindon, he has the pace, skill, talent and he can score a goal or two. I know he usually plays down the right for Swindon, either at righ back or on the right wing, but I do think he is good enough to play as an attacking central midfielder for us. He has great energy, he has a great work rate and he can add a bit of penetration to the side.

1st half fair few 1St time balls which caused them a lot of bother and bit luck better finishing we could have been couple up. 2nd half we dropped off to much gave them space in midfield to exploit, but no hoofball?
