Sami Amombi and Mason at front thats what it should be

Look who signed him.

Agree, will struggle with Revell up front, not good enough.
Sat Aug 08, 2015 10:13 pm
Ameobi for me is a Winger, I know we could maybe switch him on a wing and play a flexible 442/451 but it looks like we're playing a dominate 442 so I'd prefer Ameobi on the wing and maybe Jones and Mason upfront

Amiobi wide, mason and jones up top.
Sun Aug 09, 2015 7:28 am
its simple - Kenwyn Jones.... To be with Mason would be a great combo for me.

Mason was god awful. Revell is what he is a second division player at best.City need goals and an attacking midfielder who can run at people and disrupt defences.

Revellers is park player awful mason wasn't good cos he try hold ball up which not is game he make cleaver runs cos we too slow moving ball forward never going pick him out whitts play like he don't want to play need drop him play rally in middle he got loads energy and try move ball quicker forward

This ia a square pegs in round holes scenario again with he clown in charge.
Ameobi is a wide forward similar to Bellers, who needs to be in a 433.
Mason - I have no idea what is his best position or formation as he flatters to deceive
Jones - Is a single man up top so a 433 or 4231
Doyle - looks a 442 striker as he is looking for the other striker
Macheda - could play in a 442 as the other lad will need to do all the work.
Revell - is a 442 target man, runs after balls but isn't going to get into double figures and needs an Earnie type with him.
So its a mess. The clown insists on 442 even though we do not have the personnel. No pace or craft. Its going to be a long season.

Marshall
Peltier
Manga
Connolly
Malone
Dikgachoi
Ralls
Pilkington
Kennedy
Ameobi
Jones
I think Pilkington would be very good in the number 10 role

Kenwyn will start when fit I'm sure.
But the thing is if we play ameobi wide, were guna be light in the middle again with two out and out wingers leaving two cm players to battle against 3 (in most cases) and I agree he looks out if place in the middle.

Agreed
If we're going to persist with 4-4-2 (we shouldn't but Slade won't change

) then the front two should be Doyle and Jones from the players we've currently got.
If Noone can get a bit of momentum and Pilks carry on with his current form then we should see the ball in the box more often and a Jones/Doyle partnership would grab a few goals this season with decent service.

I don't understand all this Mason love in, he's very very slow ,he isn't strong enough and also he's not positive enough the one on one he had , the choice was shoot or pass to the other striker who was in on goal.
What did he do stop turn around and pass back.
Can you imaging Chopra Ernie or Rosco, turning and passing back in the same position ?

Spot on. A fair assessment but I also feel perhaps Jones could plat the Peter throne role in a 4-4-2 perhaps but agree for the vast majority.

Definitely not good enough at this level

Revell is ok for the bench to close down games, fill in for injuries etc, Id worry if Slade sees him as first choice.
I don't think a front two of Mason and Revell would conern many teams
