Agreed

Will be very sad to seem him go.

Hopefully Moore will step up to the plate. It's a big opportunity for the guy and I wish him well - hope he can be our number one for a long time to come.

I hope Ben Moore does well , he deserves his chance but he is no David Marshall who we must try and keep at the club if promotion is a priority

Pulis said on SSN that he wants Marshy but there's no rush as he's banned for the first 3 games. It's going to happen, just hope it doesn't go to the wire so we'll still have enough time left to get our targets. :bluebird:

Norms, it's going to be interesting as City are demanding £5 mill plus, I don't reckon we will get that much.
And as you say, then we won't get any more players in if it goes down to the wire.

I think the person who suggested Pulis/WBA are being clever/frugal by keeping the Marshall deal 'on the boil' a little longer is spot on, as it would indeed save them (WBA) a few bob!

Still prefer him to stay here, though! :notworthy:

Would rather keep David Marshall, as I do not trust them to spend the money wisely anyway if they spend it at all

You got to remember when Marshall first came to the club he was a bit 'iffy' but he improved massively!
Moore can improve too :ayatollah:

Spot on,I can remember Marshall flapping at corners and he improved through experience,we can't stand in front of Moore he needs to develop and he can only do that playing first team football,we let heaton go it would be a mistake to loose Moore for a keeper who's decreasing in value

To be fair it's only 2 good seasons Marshall has had.

Moore deserves his chance now, learnt his trade as Marshall's number 2, done well at brentford in his first full season.

If we can get 6m in for Marshall and invest in outfield players I'm pretty happy.

My opinion is sell Marshall while his value is high. We have a quality number 2 who's value is only going to rise.

Moore has got a good ten years in him, where marshy has probably got 2-3 good seasons left

Moore unfortunately cost us the game today as he does make mistakes. He's an upcoming talent but no way in the world a replacement for Marshall, who would not have made that error today. Selling Marshall would be a massive mistake, look no further than today as to why.

agree , I think Moore has a future but I feel he maybe better going out on loan to a league 1 club to gain some valuable 1st team exp, I feel he may cost a few points this season while he's learning , I would rather get a more experience keeper if we were to sell Marshall

I've heard Moore is good enough for months, no chance he's a liability, if Marshall goes, for no less than six million, we need a keeper....

We've all heard it but seeing is believing. He is a great talent in the making but his inexperience is as we have seen a liability, especially in the shadow of a GK great like Marshall - its a hiding to nothing for the lad's confidence. He needs regular first team games with another team in real terms of building his confidence & career, for his own good. Remember, Heaton was incredible but still was essentially injury back-up for DM and had to move on. Moore is a sure-fire future talent who's career could be curtailed by unrralstic expectations of what we expect in terms of replacing DM.

For me, DM as City GK until his testimonial and Moore developing in confidence with a future to match his mentor.

I've got no problem with Marshall being sold for the right price. He's been loyal and performed out of his skin but now deserves a last chance in the Prem.

However, we have to accept that his replacement is highly unlikely to be as good as him. Moore may get there but not yet, if we spend some of the money of a keeper like Hennessy then I'd be over the moon, particularly if we can also get a decent striker out of the Marshall money :ayatollah:
