I would be happy to see Peltier captain.

Gunner wont play lots of games because of Digachoi and his whole heated approach for the cause means he gets injuries. It can't be Morrison as in my eyes - but unfortunately not Slades - he is our 4th best centre back. So it has to be Peltier who I think will do a good job anyway.

Gunnarsson would be my choice too.

He's a natural leader and, like I said in another thread, he always gives 100%. Will always come over to our fans, no matter how we've played or what the result is - home and away.

My only worry is whether he'll play enough. Pilkington and Ralls have had a good pre-season. Dikgacoi is back playing, and Slade speaks as if he'll be a key player for us. I would expect Whittingham and Ameobi to be in the midfield too.

Ben Turner would also be a good choice, but his fitness is an issue.

But I think it will be either be Lee Peltier or Sean Morrison - I would want Peltier out of those two.

I seem to recall he's been Captain at other clubs he's played for and that can only help

Peltier of the available squad. Other posters have pretty much covered why. Bit of a no-brainier under the circumstances!

Before the preseason I would have said gunnarson but it doesn't look like he's going to play every week so peltier or manga for me
