Met him in Harrods inthe mid 80's. Only said hello in passing but he stopped for a 5 min chat. True gentleman.R.I.P.

Yes, RIP Mr Arthur Daley - Minder was a great part for George Cole - Everyone loves a lovable Rouge - He was born for the part !!

Not just jumping on the Bandwagon here but I loved the guys acting abilities , my favourite films and actors are the British contingent P Sellers,A Guinness, Sims(Coles Mentor),T Thomas, J Grenfell. S James, W Hyde White, H Jacques including Cole amongst a shed load of other British comedy actors from the 40/50/60's, Films such The Long arm of the Law. St Trinians Two way Stretch, The Big Job, Crookes Anonymous, Hue and Cry, The Lady Killers and an even bigger shed load of films from this era.
George Cole the end of a truly golden era.

I watched Minder this week with George Cole and Dennis Waterman,it's still highly entertaining after all these years. A sad loss.

Minder was a great series and George Cole was just incredible in it. Years later I found out that the original Winchester Club was situated at one stage not far from where I lived in Camden. Dave the barman. Class. RIP Arfur.
