Thought Bolton were skint.

Nolan no spring chicken so I wouldn't have thought a fee would be involved but wages for someone mid 30's won't be that high ?

I think if he was to pick a team out of us two it would be us, Bolton have no ambition this season.
We are crying out for a player like Nolan at the club

Im sure that ive heard before that his wife is from Bridgend area, could be a factor

Bolton loved him and he loved them. But hopefully we will have him

He needs to consult Kalou and Kuyt first.

But didn't he start his career at Bolton ? I would be amazed, but very happy, if he chose us over them.
Can certainly still do a job at this level.
Thu Aug 06, 2015 8:48 am
I really can't see it happening.
Thu Aug 06, 2015 9:22 am
He might think he'd be better off at Bolton, but we'd be pretty keen on him here too! Could make a big difference to us.

cant see any where at all on twitter which suggests hes coming to us... all i can see is him being linked with bolton.
Thu Aug 06, 2015 9:37 am
i dont see anything linking him to cardiff other than ppl saying why dont we go for nolan
Breaking news:cardiff city make bid to sign gareth bale, hes from cardiff so must be true

Nolan IS signing for Cardiff - said someone on Twitter once
Thu Aug 06, 2015 11:12 am

I think if the choice came down to, who would he rather play for Neil Lennon or Russell Slade, then there is only one winner. Lennon, hands down.
Bloooooobirds.

would have more to do with the fact that he spent many seasons and played some of his best football there

Yeah but sometimes players dont like to go back on themselves so he could see cardiff as a new adventure rather than going over old ground. I personally think it's pure rumour, I haven't heard it from one half reliable source.

it amazes me how any tom dick or harry can say something on twitter and all of a sudden its a credible rumour.
He must be on 40/50k a week, cannot see anyway we can afford him, cant imagine he's want to come here and not sure he'd be up to the task anyway.

Considering we've been linked with almost every current football player, I'm surprised we have'nt already been linked with Nolan before. Perhaps every player has already been named once so we are going through them all a second time, or was Nolan overlooked when all the rumours were at their peak.

As long as the club can afford it, go for it! His wages are PL and they have more spending power, but if he was the star buy, maybe the purse would stretch.

if he drops down to the championship and he has a choice of bolton and cardiff he aint going to cardiff, thats for sure.
that said, he'd be a very good signing for us.
