Look how far we have to travel...

I would be happier if that was the final league position

This is tough for travelling fans, but look at the effect on the players and management. It has to be a negative factor on their status, physically and mentally. Add to that cup games and you have a fair old trek this year!

.... And there's 23 aways in this league compared to 19 in the PL.

Aw poor babies how will they manage, bless em.
Mentally it must be terrible for our players.

Some of us have been doing 400 mile round trips to home games every other week for years and years

Nobodies got a gun to anyone's head, it's a labour of love for most fans who choose to go away.

Could mean that teams with less distances to travel have more derby matches?

I never understand how the FA justify p'ssing people about playing the furthest distances for midweek games.
would be in their interest to have stadiums full rather than put midweek fixtures with no factor of locality and distance meaning most people cant go

Absolutely but the players spend double the time on the road compared to others. This is a disadvantage surely. Midweek long-hauls are not necessary either. I know it comes from being out on a limb but there's no doubt it could be more fairly scheduled.
The point about Derby games is a good one on the other side of the coin. Some clubs must have full away stands for those games and it can take away the home advantage a bit.
Anyhow, can't wait for kick off now!!
