Aron Gunnarsson has been back in training this week, but is likely to be among the substitutes on Saturday after missing some sessions with a minor hip problem.

He gets a lot of stick from our fans, but I like Gunnarsson. Always puts in 100% and no matter how we've played or what the result is, he'll always go over to our fans at the end - home and away

spot on when we lost to Blackpool last season he was the only player to come over to us at end of the game the others stayed in the centre circle

He's a tidy player, but like Whitts ,he should've been dropped last season when he hit a bad patch. He's better as a box-to-box midfielder. He's capable of getting a lot more goals.

Good player but dosent work well in the team with whitts as proven game after game after game last season.
When hes back though him and whitts will be re united in the midfield again though no doubt and then thats mid table finish sorted, if slade keeps doing this he needs to go imo

He's a top player for us and would be an amazing captain. A midfield three of him, Digkakoi and Ralls could be lethal at this level. I'd probably slot in Pilkington or Ameobi for fourth midfielder but might go half and half on these two! Hurry back the main man!

Slade will be delighted.

Gunnar has a very useful throw-in. If he is given a dchancee in an attacking position, it's as good as a corner or cross.
The rest of his game may be suspect, but Slade should know what form he's in. I think he will play (probably as a sub initially ) within the first few games. See what he can do.
