He is going to play Whitts and Gunnar anyway.

Personally I think we have enough players in midfield if we use the right system.

According to Annis, terms are agreed but the other team won't release the midfielder to us until they bring in a replacement first. I suppose that's Slade's fault mind, how dare he not find a replacement for this other team so they can give us this midfielder!

You would think 4 pre season wins on the trot with 2 of those being against Premiership opposition would make us optimistic enough to actually TRY to support our manager at the start of the season!

Newcastle fans aside, we must be the most negative, demanding, unrealistic, clueless fans in football!

Pre season friendlies mean nothing....Bournemouth didn't have a first team out

Slade is clueless and this will be proved by the lack of activity in the transfer market ....Those we have been linked with have chosen other clubs - have you wondered why ?

In a lot of cases it was because we had no interest in them in the first place.

There are maybe a couple that Slade made enquiries about (no evidence of bids) but who went somewhere else - like Quinn.

The same is true for almost every club - including top clubs in the Premier League. Cardiff are no different.

It seems more likely to me that the club have made very few firm enquiries or bids, and (Ameobi loan apart) they have stayed out of the media spotlight. Slade seems to be looking for up to 3 first team signings, but thinks (rightly) that we already have the quality to do better than last season with a smaller, fitter, better prepared squad. Dikgacoi and Pilkington and Mason are almost like new signings anyway when compared to the bloated pool he was working with last season.

I'm agnostic on Slade and don't expect us to get into the Top 6 but some of the bile sent Slade's way is way OTT. Last season was a car crash. This season may be consolidation (although we can hope for better). Slade may not have a long-term future with the club. But whilst he's here, while the squad seems to be fitter, more together and playing better football, why not just support him and them for a while?

You've just backed up my point. Anyone with half a brain knows the reason we haven't signed many players is because financially, we can't bring in any additional players until we offload the deadwood first!

You ignore Ameobi's comments stating how simple a decision it was to join us after talking to Slade, when Slade DID have the resources to make a signing. You ignore Kennedy's comments stating how the atmosphere has improved since Slade has come in as the players are happier.

I'm sorry, but yourself or anyone else blaming Slade for lack of signings at the moment is clueless!

kennedy was brought here by Slade, hes not exactly in a position to talk about the pre Slade atmosphere

Agree with some of Tonteg's comments above, but not the unrealistic bit. I think the unrealistic fans are the ones who said we were going to win the league last season, and when it became obvious that was not going to happen, they seemed to think we were nailed on certanties for the play offs. Those of us who looked at things without blue tinted glasses knew we were never going to get a sniff of the play offs, never mind winning the league. Looking at things for this season, I think the bookies are about right with our odds for promotion, and my priority would be to see us stay clear of the relegation fight. Anything else would be a bonus, and we need to consolidate this season, and hopefully push on in a year or two. I would consider Slade to have done all that could seriously be asked of him if we finish anywhere higher than mid table.

Did you read Kennedy's interview Paul? He talks about how the dressing room was silent when he first joined but now the dressing room is a loud and happy place to be with lots of laughing and joking, so the atmosphere has gradually improved under Slade. You should read comments first before jumping to an inaccurate assumption.

Ameobi only came here because Wolves couldn't guarantee first team football

this is what you said. now i havent read kennedys words, i dont need to. he's saying that the atmosphere in the dressing room was shit when he first came here.... that was under slade.

Now youve read that and tried to twist it to show that the atmosphere in the dressing room is better BECAUSE of slade. weird.

Not sure why im trying to reason with you though, after reading your crackpot theories on MH370 your quite clearly off your rocker

Your just being pedantic. Slade inherited a squad with a no togetherness or team spirit, what kennedy is saying that over Slades times here he's improved that.

The reason we haven't made lots of singings is because we're not offering big wages like last year and were being careful about who we buy as our squad is so big.

there's no changing some people's opinions sho blame slade for everything without actually knowing f**k all about what's going on and what resources the club have actually given him.

I feel as if some people here actually want us to loose and refuse to support the team out of sheer stubbornness, it's ridiculous.

Lack of signings in the transfer market?

Ffs. He has no money to spend while having to get rid of players. After the mess left by Malky and OGS who can blame Tan for not releasing funds

Agree with the above
Although with a thread on here indicating an 'all but done'
Player from a higher league, I too have been hitting on here like a
Religious fanatic hits their holy book!

I think we need a striker and a midfielder

Don't rate macheda at all.
Is KJ arsed anymore after being shunted to Bourmouth last season?
Hmmm....
