A forum for all things Cardiff City

West Bromwich Albion are eyeing a move for Cardiff City winger Craig Noone, a club insider from the Welsh club has informed Football League World.
The Baggies have already added James McClean in the wide position this summer but they are interested are bringing Noone to the Hawthorns to bolster their squad ahead of the Premier League season.
The 27-year-old has Premier League experience with Cardiff City and his direct dribbling and skill could make him an asset to West Bromwich Albion, something that will surely enhance their chances of achieving a top half finish in the top-flight next season.
Cardiff City have already allowed Adam Le Fondre and Tom Adeyemi to leave the club on loan to Wolves and Leeds United respectively, as Cardiff boss Russell Slade looks to re-shape the squad that finished 11th in the Championship last season.
The Bluebirds have added Sammy Ameobi this summer in the wide position to compete with Matthew Kennedy, Anthony Pilkington and Craig Noone this season – but Noone may be set for the exit door with Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion vying for his signature.

Im sure they would cough up over 2 mill for him.

He was far from Premier class last season and as a result we won't really miss him

Always had respect for noone but am afraid he was one of our worst players for a full season, that's not form that's drastic. Reason for it? No idea, and before somebody says it's Slade and systems! Nope, he makes the wrong decisions and simply can't get past the man or deliver a cross of any quality. Time and time again it happened, it's a shame but I would cash in and wish him all the best

I'd be amazed if there was any truth in this. WBA should be going for much better.

I agree with that, really poor from noone. Easily the worst performer of last season.

Maybe he has lost that yard of pace that just gave him the edge but the spark has gone

£7.5m for combo

I wouldn't be too sad to see him go, we still need to get rid of 3/4 players.
very inconsistent and last season just utter shite. But always gives his all and looked a different player in the premier league. Maybe he's more suited to that league and pulis could get the best out of him!

£7.5m is ambitious imo. Marshall isn't exactly flying off the shelf and Noone must have dropped in value based on performance last year.
No more than £6m for the two.

I love Noone and in our 13-14 season he was one of our best players. That's didnt surprise me either, as he was always going to do well in that league, which made Malky's decision not to play him for so long even more baffling.
Last season though... that was awful. I don't think I've ever seen a player get so bad, so quickly. Run at the man, cut in, shoot from long range - every time, without fail. Never worked either!
If he goes, I'll be thankful for all he did for us in his first two seasons, but he won't be a loss. We have players in the same position playing a lot better than him, IMO.

look at our premier league season, without him we were as static as ever. He gave us a different level of attack.
He might not have been brill last year but at least he attacked people, unlike the rest of our fkin midfield.
Madness for me, keep keep keep

The yard of pace is missing but I think that is down to the player being demotivated. In the PL season he really wanted to prove a point and did very well when played.
Noone like everyone else has been suffering with a relegation hangover and to sell him to WBA now for £2m would be great for him and the club.
