Team and Formation 15/16 Season

Hey bluebirds, 5 days until the 2015/2016 season begins!

I can't see the team changing much more now (transfer wise) so I'd like to see what team and formation everyone would like to see Cardiff City play in this season! Mine would be this:

4-4-2 (Diamond):

GK - D.Marshall
RB - Lee Peltier
RCB - Bruno Ecuele Manga
LCB - Ben Turner (captain)
LB - Fabio
CDM - Aron Gunnarsson (vice-captain)
RM - Anthony Pilkington
LM - Sammy Ameobi
CAM - Peter Whittingham
RS - Kenwyne Jones
LS - Joe Mason

Yes I understand injuries are like that at the moment! I'm not talking for the first game! Just a starting 11 team over the course of the whole season! What would you pick?

Yeah, 4-2-3-1 seems to be the more fashionable formation in the modern game! Looks a solid team to me, let's see how things go, hopefully Slade changes 4-4-2 and boring football!

Agree with a lot of that! No room Declan John on the bench? Respect your opinion though

A couple of people saying just one striker

We have a lot of strikers, can you see Kenwyne Jones doing well on his own up front? Considering Joe Mason has been in good pre-season form, I can see them two linking up well together

I would personally go for this starting 11 when all fit just replace Sean Morison with Turner

I think Connolly has always been consistent when he as played for us RB or CB. He wants to play regular and he is very good in the air and was very important in our promotion run in 2012/2013.

I like Peltier defensively and think he done well for us when he came in but I would opt for Fabio for home games, I think he adds a threat going forward and I rate him.

Kennedy seems to not be considered much of an option for a lot I seen on here but I think he is someone who could always stake a claim if a winger for us ain't cutting it and we know Kennedy has performed well for us.

This formation can be flexible and changed during the game without making subs, you could easily play Dikgacoi as a CDM which would then go to a 4-1-4-1. You could even rotate to a 4-4-2 if Ameobi can play up top or play Ameobi behind the striker with Ralls shifting to the wing in a 4-4-1-1.

Whittingham, Gunnerson and nine others. 4-4-2.
