Adam Le Fondre has signed on loan for Wolves from Cardiff City.
Wolves have confirmed the signing of striker Adam Le Fondre on a season long loan, with the deal announced on the club's official website.
Le Fondre underwent a medical yesterday, leaving Cardiff City behind after an unsuccessful move to the Welsh capital.
He was signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a year ago but struggled early on and the Norwegian was later sacked. Le Fondre was loaned out to Bolton Wanderers where he recaptured his form.
The 28-year-old has experience playing in the Premier League for Reading, knows the Championship well, and has netted more than 170 goals across the course of his career.
Wolves head of recruitment Kevin Thelwell told the club's website: "We have been chasing him for a long time and are delighted that he is now a Wolves player."
Le Fondre will add real strength to Wolves' attack, which was boosted in January by the signing of former Arsenal youngster Benik Afobe.
A late surge saw the club agonisingly miss out on the play-offs last season on goal difference, and Le Fondre's arrival could help tip them over the edge in their bid to win promotion to the Premier League.
His capture delighted fans of the club

Just didn't work out for him here, it happens he is gone all the best to him.
Mason, Doyle and Macheda need to step up to the plate this season. Jones and Revell won't change

It will be interesting to see how he does at Wolves, who could be our promotion rivals?
