Gunner/John/Macheda

Gunner has been injured I assume and therefore has had little pre-season compared to the rest so I cannot see him featuring for the first game of the season. But where are the other latter ? They haven't featured at all in the last 2 friendlies. I believe they are not wanted and will not feature under Slade. Do you agree?
