Not sure if u were posting when he was here, but ' donkey ' was a name a lot of people called him on the message boards. Personally I think MAlky wasted him, should of played him a lot more.

From what I remember he was injured most of the time he was here and was usually in the squad when fit. He was a trier for sure for us but I am surprised he has done well enough to get a move to Villa. We should ALWAYS include sell on clauses though as we have lost millions from a failure to do so.

"Come on he was Shit for us" .............that's rubbish, to be fair.

Given how we played him, off bench, dead games, he did pretty damn well. And would have done better with better treatment. I remember watching once at The Vale and his touch and footwork were better than anyone on show. Honestly.

Played right, he was always going to progress.

That said, not sure Villa will be able to get the best from him. But I hope they do and well done to him.

I struggle to see why everyone knocks Rudi. I don't think he has had enough time on the pitch to learn whether he can convert potential into form. And 'stumpy' Helguson gets credit for running around.....I thought he was meant to score goals? Connelly has scored more than our aging centre forward.

Was up The Vale on Thursday on business and took time out to watch a bit of training. Eight of the fringe players, including Rudi, were being put through their paces. The lad looked really professional. No dicking about. And when it came to quick, close ball work, his passing was really crisp and controlled. To me, he still looks like an option.

Good luck to him.

And maybe City fans should lay off the bandwagon and give the kid some encouragement.

Very, very late for an update, it was known when we sold him that there was no sell on clause.

Or is it already "Have a dig Friday" again.

Whether you feel posters have a go at the club unfairly, you surely can't believe the club deserves no criticism of the amateurish way a young player was sold, and concequently sold on for millions a short time later.

Foolish and clearly an indication the management structure have no idea how to run a successful football club

I agree with Wez, people say he wasn't given a chance in the first 11. I remember once when Malky did start him he had a mare, the ball was bouncing off his knee, couldn't link up play etc and was substituted half time. Good luck to him he seems a pleasant lad but as far as his time here goes he wasn't that good, in fact he was shit.

Fantastic use of the Subject Line. Really encapsulates the main essence of the story.
