' KENWYNE JONES HEADING OUT THE DOOR ? '

Thu Jul 30, 2015 2:41 pm

The Sun claim Sheffield Wednesday will push the boat out to sign powerhouse Kenwyne Jones from Cardiff.

They claim the South Yorkshire club are in talks with the Bluebirds about taking the 6ft 2in Trinidad and Tobago striker on a season loan.

Remember he was loaned to Bournemouth last season and is due to feature against the Cherries as part of Russell Slade's squad for the pre-season friendly on Friday evening.

Would letting Jones leave for a Championship rival really make sense? We'll see if there's any life in this one.

I'd rather have him in the tent pissing out if I'm honest.

didn't Slade recently say Kenwynne was a big part of his plans for next season

I can't see them paying

Kenwyne Jones is £37,500 basic wages a week,£45,000 if he plays, plus Ni&Tax takes it well over £50,000 a week.
Those are honest facts.

I'm sure that if they wanted him and offered him a 3 year deal Jones would settled for less

Did KJ not play for Sheffield Utd in the past Annis? I seem to remember he played for a string of clubs with names beginning with 'S' and who play in red and white stripes, Southampton, Sunderland and Stoke but I'm not sure if he played for the Blades too. If so that could be a clever quiz question  :bluescarf:

It seems like they are going to pay his wages for the entire loan spell, so if that is the case then we should let him go. Rather than us spending £37,000-£50,000 a week on one players' wages. The money could now be used to pay decent weekly wages, for two maybe even three new players.

Bloooooobirds.

If those figures are true then that's f***ing ridiculous ! The club should be doing all they can to flog him, crazy crazy money.

He should only go if another club picks up all the expenses otherwise it's pointless, especially to a rival.

Won't the new FA rules that scuppered Rodolph Austin's move to Sheffield Wednesday mean he cannot move to an English club?

Trinidad & Tobago have not been ranked higher than 55 in the last 2 years.

FFP has been relaxed Ian. Hence why the Prem clubs are spending heavily on wages again

For me this is mental. We have to do everything to keep the guy!

Without him last year I dread to think where we would have been
