The Sun claim Sheffield Wednesday will push the boat out to sign powerhouse Kenwyne Jones from Cardiff.

They claim the South Yorkshire club are in talks with the Bluebirds about taking the 6ft 2in Trinidad and Tobago striker on a season loan.

Remember he was loaned to Bournemouth last season and is due to feature against the Cherries as part of Russell Slade's squad for the pre-season friendly on Friday evening.

Did KJ not play for Sheffield Utd in the past Annis? I seem to remember he played for a string of clubs with names beginning with 'S' and who play in red and white stripes, Southampton, Sunderland and Stoke but I'm not sure if he played for the Blades too. If so that could be a clever quiz question

It seems like they are going to pay his wages for the entire loan spell, so if that is the case then we should let him go. Rather than us spending £37,000-£50,000 a week on one players' wages. The money could now be used to pay decent weekly wages, for two maybe even three new players.

If those figures are true then that's f***ing ridiculous ! The club should be doing all they can to flog him, crazy crazy money.

He should only go if another club picks up all the expenses otherwise it's pointless, especially to a rival.
