Kenwyne to Wednesday?

Thu Jul 30, 2015 9:27 am

Just read on sky sports and a couple of twitter accounts that Jones is their top target?

Doubt they could afford the £40k a week plus whatever we want as a transfer fee (although to get rid of 40k a week we may give him away!) Rumour rating 4/10

Could they afford £50,000 plus a week wages?

I have no idea what kind of package would/could be put together. Where has 50k come from?

Paul, Jones is £37,500 basic wages a week,£45,000 if he plays, plus Ni&Tax takes it well over £50,000 a week.
Those are honest facts.

I'm sure you are right Annis which means this deal is surely very unlikely. Can't see Sheffield Wednesday wanting to pay that much a week let alone the heft transfer fee we will no doubt demand. :ayatollah:

i know he was on 37k a week when we signed him, would imagine its less when we got relegated though

Tell them to do one if it's a loan deal again.

The best we will be able to do with Jones is a loan deal where we pay about 30% of his wages and no fee......

in which case we should keep him as he will score at this level...

James's, unless City are willing to some of it, I can't see them taking him.

Bournemouth paid all his wages last year and paid a loan fee ,Wednesday are loaded now if they want him they could afford him

Re: Kenwyne to Wednesday?

Thu Jul 30, 2015 3:55 pm

Check out the business that Wednesday have done so far, they could easily afford it, their owners are not messing about. I would have thought some of them would not have come cheap and there are plenty of rumours of more incoming...

It's also about weather they look at his wages and think no way. I they paid a good fee then let him go but not on loan.
