Was very good indeed.
Malone was very good going forward and Peltier was unadventurous but solid.
Centre backs solid but Morrisson STILL shuts off. He must concentrate and not be level with his opponent as he lacks pace.He must ALWAYS stay goal side and give himself a yard.
Midfield was sharp and crisp but the ball was slow moving forward
Mason and Ameobi's movement was very good but the former still seems isolated. Nor sure what Ameobi's position really is.
Interesting movement between Ralls and Witts with the latter more central but they interchanged a lot and worked effectively when Malone sprang forward.
Most impressive of all - it was clear the team was very fit ( Digachoi getting there) and in addition they were extremely well organised with 2 banks of four constantly in line when the opponents had the ball
Digachoi will be giving serious competition to Gunner, which can only be good. Okeefe also did well.
I assume Kennedy was injured.Where was Macheda?
So - in a nutshell - really good as there is competition in all areas. One concern however - Mason needs a partner and not convinced Ameobi is this. Revell and Macheda are not good enough. Doyle possibly. If we cannot get rid of Jones to pay for another forward, will he put in the effort needed as we certainly do not wish to play the long ball game that was not apparent tonight.

Nice to hear some feedback about the set up tonight. Did Ameobi look exciting at any point during the game?

Certainly not match fit but tried hard and his ball control and skill on the ball is evident to all. He played tonight in a position with his back often towards the goal. I would like to see him running onto the ball and attacking at pace as he would be a nightmare for opposition defenders with his skill levels.

I was really impressed by all tonight but i reined myself in knowing that its only pre season and the tempo of the game was very slow. Ralls snd Malone worked very well, i was close to the pitch on our left in the 1st half and Malone was constantly talking to Ralls telling him to either go with the runner or tuck inside. We tried to keep the ball at feet because jones wasnt playing and that suited Whitts, Ralls, Ameobi and Mason. Digachoi looked comfortable but i think that was down to the pace of the game, i think he will get exposed if he starts acweek saturday. O'keefe looked busy when he came on and showed some good break up play aswell as intelligent touches and energy. Overall impressed tonight but it was only a pre season friendly

Cheers for the information. Do you think he could do a job with Mason up top then?

Yes. But not a long term solution.
