Sheffield United are the latest club to show interest in Adam Le Fondre.

A number of Southern Clubs have put bids in,but Le Fondre wants to move up North.
Sheffield United are believed to be preparing a bid for Le Fondre.
Cardiff were looking for well over a £million and at one stage £2million,but City are now prepared to listen to offers.

I wish we would hurry up and sell him. Brilliant player throughout his career but woeful at City in my opinion. I'd take £1m for him before his "contract is terminated by mutual consent"

This could be a bit of a dilemma for Le Fondre.
On one hand, will he want to drop to League One? On the other, it moves him back up North and if he finds his forum again, he could have a decent chance of promotion this season and then back in the Championship.
He may not find another Northern club this summer, who will pay the money that we want.

It would make sense as Nigel Adkins is at Sheff utd and of coure worked together at reading.

he'll have to think of his golf courses up there though, be waterlogged in winter and he'd have nowt else to do then

Sheffield United have just (re)signed Billy Sharp. I always thought he was a similar type of striker to ALF.
They have also signed Connor Sammon on a year loan from Derby.
They may be splashing the cash but bidding for ALF as well seems to be overkill. They don't appear to have lost any of their main forwards from last season either.

Just take a cut price, better than paying his wages whilst he rots in reserves and then put that young lad they've got in with the Deal and maybe loan him back to them
