Haverfordwest County fume after Swansea City join Cardiff City in cancelling friendly match
Monday 27 JULY 2015
BY SIMON GASKELL
Haverfordwest County AFC say they have been left to reflect on the benefits of high-profile friendlies after Swansea City cancelled a match with them - 10 days after Cardiff City did the same.
The Welsh Premier outfit had been due to take on a Swans team at the Bridge Meadow Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Swans said they couldn’t fulfil the fixture because of a combination of injuries, under-21 players training with the first-team and their under-18s being out in the Czech Republic.
The news came after a planned match with Cardiff City on July 19 was also called off because of injuries in the Bluebirds camp.
Then, Haverfordwest had said it was a “little embarrassing” having heavily advertised the Cardiff clash.

Not good, by either club. Fixtures should be fulfilled. Shows a lack of respect to Haverfordwest County, a good club. Very poor show, by us, and Swansea.
