Steve Bruce is a good manager when it comes to transfers. Spent a fraction of what Malky did when we both went up to the Prem and built a much better squad.

Exactly,now I've still some things I'd like him to change like the rigid 442 but you can't knock the job he's done,reduced a massive wage bill,has built a team spirit and unity by all accounts,he steadied the ship last season and towards the end we was playing decent stuff away from home,the negativity from our fans at home matches u can hardly expect anything other than nervey performances,we need unity on and off the pitch to get success but to many ppl would rather us go and spend millions on another manager like that guarantees success

Whether he was seriously linked with them I can't say, but one think we know is that he is not their manager. He's been in this game for quite a while, and has never been offered a job by any of the top sides. We are by far the biggest club who have actually taken him on, and to fair we are not exactly giants in british football. Having said that, I think he will do what he is expected to do here, but I don't believe that includes getting us promoted.

Let's put it this way after Eddie howes failure at Burnley everyone thought he'd disappear back to league one where he was "at his standard" now look everyone thinks he's a genious,I believe slade has the experience and with a gr8 coaching set up which he hasn't a bad set up now he can do well for us,as for promotion I don't think we will get promoted but I'd like us to flirt with the possibility at least
