Just highlights the poor management of Slade. Certainly underplayed with his time with us. He only played 5 minutes out of 720 minutes at the end of the season. The other time was spent warming the bench. As The player says he was never given a chance.

I also rate him, not had the best of luck with injuries and timing a bit like Mutch in his first season. But if he's not going to play him he just as we'll be on loan. What's cracks me up is the criticism now, it's like the criticism when a team is announced and it's slated before a ball is even kicked! Am no fan of Slade, he did what he needed to do last season but I will reserve judgement for now just like I will with his decision to let adeyemi go on loan because it could turn out he does nothing at Leeds or is injury prone. :bluebird:

I do wonder if slade actually wanted to get rid of him as he seems to want a box to box midfielder and he is ideal

Unless his wages are silly he is what we need.

How can anyone judge him on his performances for the City? Potential? Yes. But he's done nothing in aCity shirt. He came on in 1 game and got himself injured within 5 minutes going for a stupid ball/challenge. Thats all that sticks out for me!

Spot on, but don't let the truth get in the way of an opportunity for the usual lot to take digs at Slade and Tan

But surely the time to have had a look at him was the end of last season?
Slade persisted in playing the same midfield whilst it was the perfect opportunity to play Adeyemi along with one or two others.

Well every time I saw him the drive and energy he put into the dozy midfield of ours was thrilling. He was talked about as the new Jordan Mutch but never given any opportunity to develop with us. This will prove a humdinger of an idiotic decision!

Totally agree, was asking for the same myself but once that didnt happen and his mind is made up then no good him hanging about here. I think in an ideal world we would keep him here but I think things are being run better off the field or at least trying to, by that I mean making business decisions as well as footballing decisions. You can't get all these decisions correct, it's a Business as well and the books need balancing. How many players collected their wages last year and hardly featured?

Spot on, Was no where near a starter last year and wouldn't be this year either. Was piss poor for us.

We had ( and still have) too many midfield players. Someone, probably more than one, had to go. No matter who went, Slade would be criticised by people on this board. Adeyemi was injury prone, and may well do well elsewhere, but it is difficult to make a case for him to stay ahead of some of some of our other midfielders. :sladein:
