Exactly what I was thinking when he was linked to it. Having Weir as assistant manager gives him local affiliation too so he will be an instant hit with the fans. He will take them back to the top over the next 2-3 years.

I can see Warburton taking them back up this season and get them challenging for the title in the SPL again.
