Academy category 1 status, bad news?

Bloke in work reckons the jacks have been awarded category 1 status for their academy? He says that means they can now cherry pick players from academies below category 1 which could mean bad news for us. Any truth in this? Not seen it mentioned.

Im not here everyday, i havent seen anything on ot other than people getting their knickers in a twist about them opening academies across Wales.

whats criteria do you need to get category 1. I thought there was news that were we're pushing ahead with it.

I know tan has obviously reduced funding, but what cost would there be to get category one. The longer this continues, the worse it'll end up for the future.
