The former Cardiff City striker was being whispered as the "experienced striker" Russell Slade said he was close to bringing in.
While it seems a move to Cardiff is very unlikely, The Irish international is leaving Perth Glory, who say in a statement that they are "In the process of terminating his contract" as he's joining an overseas club.
The statement, on the club's official website, continues: "The Irishman had a one year deal remaining (with a one year option) and was expected to return to training yesterday, after being granted extended leave.
"Upon his return to Perth late last week, Keogh received an offer from an overseas club- which Perth Glory could not compete with.
"Perth Glory exhausted every avenue to resolve certain terms and conditions relating to Keogh's contract from last year and offered him a new and transparent deal that did not breach the salary cap.
"After several talks with Keogh and his management the club decided not to stand in his way, subject to Perth Glory being compensated.
"The club would like to assure its members and fans that it is in talks with a number of strikers and hopes to make an announcement within the coming weeks."
