" Bad News for Adam Le Fondre "
Former Swansea City striker Stephen Dobbie looks set to sign for Bolton Wanderers this morning - which could cut down the options for want-away Bluebird Adam Le Fondre.
Dobbie impressed during Bolton's friendly win at Oldham this week and manager Neil Lennon told the Bolton News: “We brought him in to have a look at him and I think he’d be a very good acquisition if we could get him."
“He scores goals and he’s a free – so you’re always looking for players who can make you better and Stephen can maybe fill that role?”
Le Fondre is also wanted by Wanderers, having spent a successful loan spell there last season but with money tight, it looks like they're going for the cheaper option.
A number of teams down South have put in offers for Cardiff City' s Le Fondre, but the striker is refusing to join any if them.

This is going to be difficult.
Question : Why did he join us in the first place , family circumstances didn't change before he joined us ?
I still think he can do a great job , obviously as in Guerra there is a clash of personality somewhere .
Looks like he`ll go on the cheap

I don't think there was a clash of personality as he was first choice for nearly every game. I think the lack of goals/ confidence, fed his desire to move to a club closer to home. Unless a team down south offer him more money.

for what ever reason he doesnt want to go anywhere unless its north and wants his money! so still wanting his cake then?

if he really wanted to go he would take the pay cut or buy himself out his contract, truth is hes all about the money and using the move up north to try and cover over the facts that he couldnt hit a barn door while with us,sooner hes gone the better

Mostly agree , strange how he can score for every other club except us - must be our system he doesn't like

People say he didnt get the service or system didn't suit him? yet he had lots chances some even sitters and didnt score!
it seems these players are the victims of our club, and have no responsibility themselves?

But thats the society we live in. No one accepts responsibility for their actions or lack of options.
He had many chances and missed them. Even one of his few goals was going wide before hitting a defender and went in. Another was an open goal from 6 inches - tap in (Watford away).

Spot on Allan. Good players adapt, adopt and succeed. It's easy to blame the system.
He's been a lame duck for Cardiff considering the hype surrounding his arrival at the club.

Cradiff as a club is mental.. Reading are probaly the same size as we are but with the regional media based here the focus is far more on us than a club like reading, our fans have some sort of daft expectation far beyond our station and the prsuure is intense.
I think he needs a more "HOMELY" club.
If he doesn't get the move I pity his confidence because he will not have my support........

We tend to get the best out of Strikers here, Bothroyd, Chopra, Earnie, Jerome, Hell even Steven Thompson did reasonably well here with 16 goals in 2 seasons.
Alf did not want to be here, said as much in his opening interview and made the point weekly by playing like a c**t. Good riddance assuming we can get shot of him.

Sooner he leaves the better its because his hero Ole is not here anymore.

It seems to be a bit of a tradition at Cardiff City to 'ruin' previously good strikers!
With one or two exceptions, it has usually been because they aren't played to the strengths that brought them here in the first place!

I would personally have Dobbie over le fondre
Does a bit more outside of he box and can play as a deeper striker too.
I think he came for Ole and doesn't want to be here.
I think if he kept quiet and not sounding desperate to leave, he would be somewhere by now.
It looks like teams can now play hard ball with Cardiff and hard ball with the player too
He will be a panic buy soon though.

Perhaps the fact he couldnt finish his dinner is why we dont want him?!?!!

With Rhodes and Gestede likely to leave, I wonder if Blackburn will be interested in Alf? Bolton definitely can't afford him.
