Adam Le Fondre

Disappointed to see his comments that he will be leaving this summer but it was really inevitable and will be best for both parties. It's a real shame that one of the best strikers in the Championship never made it work with us.

No-one can say it was Slade's fault that it never clicked because ALF was the undroppable under Slade, which frustrated the fans anyway. No doubt he will scores hat full of goals at his new club, but the move away is best for everyone. :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :sladein:

i believe the players frozen out in the reserves are being treated disgusting. imagine Guerra or Le Fondre going out to Holland with 1st team squad. gets a few goals and manages to settle, then want to stay.
not as if we have a lot to lose. both are better than some of the players there.
can totally understand them wanting to leave now.
:sladeout:

tidy manager wouldnt have done this. look at Hernandez at Utd. very unsettled and shipped out on loan last year. hes been taken on tour with them with a chance to impress. if he does he stays, if he dont they sell him on

Le Fondre wanted to leave from January onwards. Slade granted him his wish and even found him a club up north. ALF still wants out so why would Slade take a player who doesn't want to play for us on a trip designed so he can asses his squad for the news season!

Le Fondre was given a chance here and he undermined the manager and the club.
What's the point giving him a free holiday
