Adam Le Fondre: I have no future at Cardiff City, says striker

Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre has confirmed he is on his way out of the Championship club.

The 28-year-old, signed from Reading in May 2014, spent the second half of 2014-15 on loan at Bolton after scoring just three times for the Bluebirds.

Le Fondre now hopes to seal a permanent deal or a loan move away from Cardiff before the season starts in August.

"We've come to an agreement where I won't be playing my football at Cardiff anymore," he said.

"I'm just waiting for the perfect opportunity and the right club for me to go to.

"I've turned down a few offers already. Geographically, it's got to be right for me and my family. It's going to be a more northern club that I will be signing for, but obviously you never know what comes in front of you.

"I don't want this dragging on because it's sort of messing with my pre-season a little bit."

Le Fondre featured in a Cardiff City XI which beat Carmarthen Town 1-0 in a friendly while the majority of the first team played in a 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury Town.

Manager Russell Slade says the former Rotherham striker's future will "ideally" be sorted out before the Bluebirds host Fulham in their Championship opener on Saturday, 8 August.

"Adam has made it quite clear that he would like a move to the north, whether that's permanent or on loan," said the 54-year-old.

Play him, or Fa bio at left back.

It is the weakness of the player in front of them that is often the problem.

We played him for what 30 games and he couldn't hit a barn door with a shovel.

So because of our massive squad he got choose to go out in loan when the offer came, and unlike mason and other who went out he publicly came out moaning and bitching about the club almost immediately saying he wants a move to Bolton.

It's not like he wasn't given a chance like many others, with the right attitude he could be back fighting for a place.

He can f**k off as far as I'm concerned he want players that want to be here.

He really disappointed me. Unfortunately, he tried hard but scored little. And rather than stay and try to put things right, he sulks and wants to leave us. I wish we didn't have to pay his wages while he looks for another club stupid enough to pay his wages. A true professional would still try his hardest for a club even if he wanted to move, just to put himself in the shop window. This wanting to be "up north" is nonsense - it didn't bother him at Reading.

Despite paying his wages, I hope no one shows any interest in him so that he suffers with the development team for a few months. That may take his arrogance level down a bit. :sladein:

Aw let's all feel sorry for him! He sums up today's footballer. He made very little impact, hie offered very little on pitch, unless someone offers to pay all his wages or pays a fee then he can stay in the reserves, hopefully someone signs him so we can get rid.

That's right, no blame to the player, it's all our terrible clubs fault! I'm sure that Le Fondre and his family had the same thoughts at Reading, probably why he was never a regular starter there, but of course he's offered more money and he jumps at it, yet the playing away from his family is still the issue. It doesn't work at Cardiff for the same homesickness issue, yet our club are to blame  ludicrous opinions on here from some supporters  It's a shame these players can't be honest with themselves from the start instead of just chasing the money.

It's funny that player after player, after player have virtually all said the same over the last year, they can't all be wrong can they?

Absolutely spot on. This cry baby should make a contribution to facilitate a move if wants one so badly. Why should CCFC subsidise his preferences which were not made clear before he signed 12 months ago?

I would honestly think of suing the w***ker for breach of contract if I was in charge at CCS.

Lefondre is different to many of those players ! He had loads of games, and chances, but simply couldn't put the ball in the back of the net like he was paid for.

Now he wants to cut his contract short and go closer to home ! He was happy enough when he signed his bumper new contract last summer.

Guerra wasn't given a chance and that was wrong, Lefondre was and blew it !!

I agree here, le fondre had his chance like many others didn't and he blew it. It's obvious alot of players were treated wrongly due to a massively inflated squad - you can't keep everyone happy.

why cant they all be wrong ffs
if they came here only for the money its there problem to settle and perform
annis take another look at le fondre words
he says I want to go northwards but you never know in other words if some other southern club offers him silly money he would sign and then probably moan and sulk again hes missing his family
well maybe just maybe with the money he was on he should of moved his family down here
imo le fondre can do one quicker the better hes a tw*t :sladein: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

It's not player after player Annis, some have been let go to cut wages, some because they weren't cutting it, according to you Guerra is desperate to play for us, so only Le Fondre has said he wants away, you were even saying that Dealhi was desperate to stay? The fact is that players argue that they get paid so well because their careers are so short and they have to chase the best contract available, yet Le Fondre wants his cake and eat it as he wants the money but can't commit to moving and contributing to the club he's has signed with  I cannot understand why being a Cardiff supporter why you support individual players who have no loyalty or affection for our club :bluescarf:
