My team for Fulham

If I was Russell Slade and I had the chance too pick the starting line up for the opening game of the season against Fulham, this is who I would pick. I've chosen it on the basis that we will have no new signings and Marshall will be suspended.

And Ajayi who hasn't ever played a senior game for Arsenal, Cardiff or anyone else as far as I know, would be thrown in from the start?

Fulham would walk through our midfield there James. Need some grit in there.

I would play manga in the defensive midfield role , the way he reads the game and sniffs out danger early could be a major asset for us this season in front of the defense .

I would also bring Pilkington into centre midfield instead of out wide , he is good in the tackle and is a very clever footballer .

I'm a fan of whitts, but unless it's a 5 man midfield I wouldn't play him. If it's 4-4-2 he would be better wide but I would prefer pace and trickery there.

IMO we should play 4-2-3-1 or 3-5-2 but because we will be playing 4-4-2 that's the formation I used for how I would play at fulham

Similar to what I would have picked, but whitts for either gunnarson or Dikgachoi, then use him as a deep lying play maker with the player sat behind him as the player who will break up the majority of play.
