Well, those that have been following football long enough will know that yesterdays game means nothing in terms of how we are going to fare this season.I seem to remember the pre-season the year we got promoted was nothing special either.

Correct about pre season results meaning nothing. However we should be building a game plan in pre season that revolves around moving ball quickly when we have it exploiting our wide players. The other part of plan should be about winning ball back quickly when we have lost it.

Slade is not the man to take us forward.

Slade is def not the man to take us forward as for Scott youngs involvement it beggars even more belief

Slade has already taken us forward from the mess left by OGS and Malky. He is paying the price for these pair throwing money around like kids in a sweet shop.

He may have helped move players out but his style of play is awful.

First two months fixtures will define his future one way or the other

I believe in giving manager chance but after watching yesterday,s game I'm starting to think like many others slade is not up to it our style of play is steriotype as soon as we get ball we pass across back four nobody moves or goes forward all done slowly teams soon learn how to close Us Out and deny us possession we need someone with bit skill in middle who can play the game off the cuff not to set moves written on a blackboard.sadly seen no progress since last season same patterns again

Agree with this.

Mid table and his job will be safe.

Results obviously mean nothing in friendlies but I think performances and tactics do. There were some encouraging performances from a few yesterday but the same problem persists. Our central midfield was dire. Dikgakoi looks overweight and immobile so that is a concern. We were outhought and outplayed in the centre of the park, particularly by the impressive Ryan Woods. It briefly improved second half when Whittingham was taken off. Gunnarsson however was disappointing and looked jaded but Joe Ralls was very good, he really looked the part. Simon Moore also deserves praise but, all in all, no signs of any improvement yet where we need it most....in central midfield. Here's hoping things get better in time for Fulham :bluescarf:

Yes, it's former hero Scott Young that does indeed beggar belief that he is still involved! :? :o
