Kevin Nolan?

Fri Jul 17, 2015 9:38 pm

Ive seen his name mentioned on here.

Fits the bill as an experienced dominant midfielder..

Is he gonna get first team football with west ham this season? Would he drop down to the championship? How much do you think he would cost?

Just wondering if people thought he was a realistic or unrealistic target?

I would love this to happen and he is just what we need but I think he would be out of our price range to be honest, I'd love to be wrong though

Ive just had a look at a few articles and bilic has signed 2 new centre midfielders so looks like nolan is way down the pecking order now and he is quoted saying he wont hang around on the bench and would go to a team where he would play and be needed.. bolton and qpr been mentioned as suitors so i think we could compete with them..

Hes valued just over a million on transfermarkt he is 33 so i dont think he will be out of our price range if we are willing to pay 1-2 million. If i were slade id try my best to get the funds to sign nolan, exact type player we need and what a coup this would be imo

When I said out of our price range I didn't mean the transfer fee I meant his wages but we could take him on loan for the season, again I would love this to happen. Nolan is a guy you just love to hate unless he plays for you

Nolan and Ralls in centre of midfield would make a great pairing IMO.

Is Nolan an out and out centre midfielder who's mobile enough to go box to box ad track back when necessary these days? The past few seasons, he's always played just behind the striker, just behind Andy Carroll at Newcastle and West Ham and what a formidable team those pair make. If we sign Nolan, I believe we would have to switch to 4-4-1-1 to accommodate him, but he would be a wonderful signing if we could get him.
