pitch was great all of last season - good job we ousted the Blues!

I was lucky enough to play on the pitch and couldn't believe how good it was, considering there had been Wales v Belgium 2 days before. Part of the reason its so good is that its a mix of artificial and real grass and the same system is now widely used for many stadiums. Saying that, I personally don't think you can beat the pitches of the 1970's which often resembled the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan.

Someone has to say it so here goes.
The reason the pitch was great all season was that the ball was hardly on the grass at all certainly as far as the home side was concerned.
And that was even though Turner was injured most of the season!
