This clearly did not happen but if they found private texts over match fixing do you think that the FA would use the private conversation argument as an excuse not to take action.
The FA are a disgrace and weak is my opinion or are their hands tied by the law ?
their hands are tied by themselves. If I was to send the material these 2 sent to each other on my employer's phone or computer to another employee, my employer would have the legal right to use this as a reason to terminate my contract of employment with immediate effect for gross misconduct. I would have no notice and would forego any payment for benefits normally accrued in a notice period.
They may choose not to, but they would have the right if once investigated correctly they came to that conclusion.
These weren't 'private' - they were communications between employees on Company property.
The FA are pathetic - the whole subject makes me evil; I am no fan of Tan but if I was him I'd think what a bunch of hypocrites these Brits are with their 'Kick it Out' crap.
